A 30-day period from a certain day in a certain month up to the thirtieth day is always equal to the date number minus the quotient obtained by adding thirty to that date and dividing by thirty.

The date number that is the 30th day counted from the starting date number = (a given date number + 30) ÷ 30 = quotient → the given date number – the obtained quotient
